The Florida Maritime Heritage Trail is a collection of sites and places along
the coast that you can visit and that represent Florida's strong ties to the
sea over thousands of years. These sites and places have been organized by
themes, each represented by a poster and brochure. Information contained on
any poster and brochure is also available on this web site, and more locations
will be added regularly to the web site as the Trail expands. The focus of the
trail is public access and visitation. All sites on the poster and brochure for
any theme are open to the public, and information about access is provided here
and in the brochure. Hope you enjoy and come back often.
The Florida Maritime Heritage Trail was created and is maintained by the
Florida Department of State, Division of Historical Resources,
with initial funding by Florida Coastal Management Program.
