Historical Museum Exhibit

To learn more about the archaeology of the Miami Circle and the history of the Miami area visit the Historical Museum of Southern Florida at 101 West Flagler Street, Miami in the Metro-Dade Cultural Center Plaza (with the Miami-Dade County Public Library and the Miami Art Museum). The museum is open Monday - Saturday: 10am to 5pm;

Third Thursdays: 10 am - 9 pm; Sunday: noon – 5pm; Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Permanent exhibit “Tropical Dreams: A People’s History of South Florida” documents the history of southern Florida from 10,000 years ago to the recent past. Highlights include an exhibit called “First Arrivals: The Archaeology of Southern Florida,” which features artifacts from the Miami Circle and other important sites.
